After considering various options for reducing paper and improving processes, the County decided that it could have its primary needs addressed and get the most value by implementing an HR solution within its existing Enterprise Records Management System (ERMS).  Arlington County first deployed ERMS in 2005 as a records management solution. Since then, the County has expanded the scope of ERMS beyond traditional records management functions to include line-of-business solutions. ERMS is based on Hyland Software’s award winning OnBase product for Enterprise Content Management (ECM).

With help from Versivo, the County was able to implement an enterprise strength HR solution built within their existing OnBase system. The solution is tightly integrated with the County’s Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) ERP system. The new OnBase for HR solution eliminates paper previously associated with the County’s employee appraisal process and coverts paper-based employee records to digital documents for secure storage and retrieval.

Since going live with Versivo’s HR Solution in May 2011, that County has realized the efficiency gains they envisioned, have saved thousands of pieces of paper and received positive feedback from users across the organization. ARLINGTON, VIRGINIA, May 17, 2011 – Versivo, Inc. To earn the Microsoft Software Development Competency, Versivo had to demonstrate a high degree of proficiency in developing solutions that produce meaningful results for its clients.  As recent evidence of Versivo’s Software Development capabilities, Versivo included client references for the following applications:

Enterprise Wake My PC: This application was developed for a client that wanted to securely provide remote access to personal computers that were powered off. The application is simple in terms of functionality but extremely valuable in terms of its business impact. With the ability to securely “Wake My PC” from a remote location, the client is able to enforce its policy of powering computers off to conserve energy without impacting its workforce’s ability to be productive when working from remote locations.

Attorney’s Office Case Assignment System: Versivo migrated an existing application from a single-user legacy system to a modern multi-user infrastructure to better manage legal case assignments, track status and provide improved analytics on a variety of case metrics. As a result of the architecture modernization project, the solution is more affordable to support and enhance.

Citizen Reporting System – Snow Removal: After a winter of above average snowfall, one of Versivo’s local government clients implemented a new ordinance requiring citizens to clear snow from sidewalks bordering their property in a reasonable amount of time following a storm. To assist with enforcement, Versivo designed, developed and implemented a web-based application that allows citizens to report areas that had not yet received appropriate snow removal attention. The application is integrated with the client’s Geographic Information System (GIS) and automatically notifies the appropriate officials when a potential issue is reported so they may take swift action.

In addition to successfully developing these solutions and dozens more, Versivo passed the required examinations and has Microsoft Certified Professionals on staff that are continually enhancing their Microsoft related skills and having them validated by Microsoft’s certification process.
